The presence of gases such as oxygen, methane and carbon dioxide can indicate the potential for life. The latest discovery suggests the possibility of exoplanets containing signs of life comparable to Earth. In fact, recent research has found that some exoplanets out there could have significant climate variations, contradicting previous thinking that these planets might have uniform climates. This creates a number of interesting scenarios for the existence of life.
